Here it is another update. I have to be honest it probably won't be updated for a couple of weeks. This is Brooke at gymnastics with her competition leotard on. They also got scrunchies so they were putting their hair in goofy pony tails.
These are a few of the elk that are invading us at our house and throughout the town. These elk are at a house down the road from us. These people have to put the round bales on the roof of their barn so the elk will stop getting into their hay. We sat and watched these bulls. There was actually six of them. I thought this was the best pic though.
This is the round bale that use to feed the steer but he is no more. Shortly after my last post he jumped the fence and went on a little tour of our neighborhood. Dave was on Lisa, our carmello mare and chased him for awhile until he got to a place on the hill where we knew we could shoot him . We covered the hay so that when we needed it we could feed the horses with it but the elk are trying like crazy to get to it. They have ripped apart the tarp and they are trying to rip down the door to get to some of our hay. We are having a very hard time keeping them out of our yard and hay.

Thanks for the update!! I'm glad you guys came in this weekend and I got to spend some time with you. I can't believe how the elk just kick it around town, that is crazy. Hope you have a VERY Happy Birthday on the 19th!
Brooke looks so cute in her little gymnastics suit! It sounds like it is quite the chore to keep the elk out of everyone's hay. Does the Fish and Game do anything to try to help or are you on your own? On top of the barn????? Wow! Those are some drastic measures! I missed seeing y ou guys -- pneumonia is no fun! I hope someone will give me a book to look at!
