Finally

Alright so it has been awhile since I have updated our blog here are a few pictures. I haven't updated in so long that I forgot how to put pictures on so I need to get on the phone with Laura. But for now these will have to do! The girls had a dance recital on the 17th that went well. Sorry you only get a picture of Emma Jane right now but maybe soon you can see the rest An older couple in out ward gave us a small snow mobile for the girls. Dave was making a little pattern for them but they are light enough to break through the snow.
Brooke is on a competion cheerleading team. This was there first competion and the took 1st and got a bid to nationals (which is in vegas in April). We are coming to Salt Lake City towards the end of January.
My parents took Dave and I on a fishing trip to Flaming Gorge. We had a blast caught some big fish and just threw them back. We all caught at least one fish and had a great time
It was cold but worth it!

We have had a crazy summer along with the rest of you. I am finally getting to put pictures up. These are of our trip to California. We went to Disneyland, California Adventure, Legoland, The San Deigo Zoo, SeaWorld, we toured a battleship and then went to the Montoya family reunion. We didn't even take a camera into SeaWorld because we got soaked by the whales. The pictures are Disneyland, California Adventure and The Midway.

The girls and I (Amber is staying with us for awhile) went with Dave to Wyoming, he went for work and we went to play. I have a friend that moved to Gillette from Craig and she took us around while Dave was at his class/meeting. We stayed in Gillette Wyo but we went to South Dakota to Mt. Rushmore then to Bear country USA and then back to Wyoming to see Devil's Tower all in one day. Although the girls didn't seem to mind The girls where saying "devil's tower is so devily"
Devil's tower close-up
We also stopped in Casey Wyoming to see the place where Chris LeDoux lived for most of his life. We also stopped in Buffalo after reading the history on the Johnson county war (at the museum in Casey) we stopped at the court house to take these pictures. Then it was off to Casper and then finally home

Dave was very excited to be in an area with such rich history. We bought a Chris Ledoux box set in Casey and it set the mood for the rest of the trip.

Memorial Day Weekend

So it has been a very long time since my last update so I just went for the most recent events to tell you about. Brooke and her cheerleading group where in the memorial day parade here in Craig. It rained for the first part of the parade but then cleared up This is our new horse her barn name is "chica" Emma Jane has claimed her for her own. This is her first time out of the arena and around cows. Good thing that is what she is bred for.
Emma Jane is feeding "george" he is an orphan bull calf that is now living at our house. Until either the girls get tired of bottle feeding him or he gets mean. Then he will go back to the Duzik's
Emma Janes first dance recital she did awesome! She had a really good time and looked really cute.
To cute I just had to put it in she is on the hunt for frogs
Brooke and Lisa are doing great things with 4-h and rounding up cows
This calf is one day old and the kids wanted to hold it down while it got ear tagged.

The DNCFR was fun as always. Chillin at the rodeo
The big day Brooke finally got her spacer out. Woo Hoo! She has had it in since October when the roof of her mouth was 28 millimeters, well below average. We stretched her mouth every night with a special key for 30 days and then it has to just stay in her mouth for three months. Then we went back into the orthodontist and he measured her mouth 40.5. Just where it should be, so now it is out and the retainer will go in two weeks from now. When she first got it out she couldn't quite talk, but she has since jumped over that hurdle with leaps and bounds. Still no word on my braces though so much for 4-6 months I think I am close though but who knows. Good news we all went to the dentist on the 26th and no cavities all around, Woo Hoo! Emma Jane likes the glasses they put on you and Brooke likes being in control of the water and the vacuum.
Emma is the big "5" now with her new look (bangs) and all, we had a small party at our house after having a big one at Grandma Gine's house. She loved all of her gifts and had a great time with her cousins. I would show you the pictures but we left that camera at grandma's house.

Nascar in Las Vegas

So it has been awhile since my last blog and we have had a couple of busy weekends. I am going to have to do a couple of blogs to update you on everything. First things first we went to Las Vegas Feb. 28 to March 4 for Nascar. Our first night there though we did have tickets for Phantom of the Opera. I must say seeing this for the 3rd time it was still as good as ever! The first time was in New York and that was an experience all in its self, then I saw it in Salt Lake City, still great and lastly Vegas. There is defiantly something to be said about Vegas. When they do it, they definatly do it bigger and better. The theater was awesome. The ocherstra pit was amazing and the special effects, need I say more. Then it was off to three fun filled days of Nascar. For the first time ever they brought the "haulers" down the strip for everyone to see, this one is Dale Earnhardt Jr's haulerOk so I am a Stewart fan(shown below). Although he drives a Toyota I still cheer for him. Al cheers for Carl Edwards who drives first of all a Ford, and second it is painted red. This turned out to be a wise choice because after AL picked him, he won two races in a row. He also does a back flip off of his car when he wins. He did win Vegas and we do have a picture of the flip. Emma Jane is a Jimmie Johnson fan for whatever reason her little head chose. Dave and Brooke are undeclared as long as it is not a toyota or a Busch brother, I think he cheers for them.
This is Kasey Kahne. A lot of people think he is a hottie, he drives the 9 car. I think he is the only driver that Dave saw in the pit that is why he took his pic. who knows?

As previosly stated everything is bigger in Vegas and what would a flyby be without the Thunderbirds? Carl Edwards doin' his flip
That's Vegas now I just have to update the other stuff and we are good to go.

After talking about it for a couple of weeks Dave has done it the mustache is gone. In this picture you can see how long it was and how excited he is to be cutting it off. I am not computer savy so I could not figure how to turn this picture so here you go one side is gone and it is improving
Wow we haven't seen this face in quite some time. We where talking and Dave said he doesn't think Emma Jane has ever seen him clean shaven.

Here it is another update. I have to be honest it probably won't be updated for a couple of weeks. This is Brooke at gymnastics with her competition leotard on. They also got scrunchies so they were putting their hair in goofy pony tails.
These are a few of the elk that are invading us at our house and throughout the town. These elk are at a house down the road from us. These people have to put the round bales on the roof of their barn so the elk will stop getting into their hay. We sat and watched these bulls. There was actually six of them. I thought this was the best pic though.
This is the round bale that use to feed the steer but he is no more. Shortly after my last post he jumped the fence and went on a little tour of our neighborhood. Dave was on Lisa, our carmello mare and chased him for awhile until he got to a place on the hill where we knew we could shoot him . We covered the hay so that when we needed it we could feed the horses with it but the elk are trying like crazy to get to it. They have ripped apart the tarp and they are trying to rip down the door to get to some of our hay. We are having a very hard time keeping them out of our yard and hay.

OK So it has been awhile since we have had any kind of update. So I will keep it short and sweet, after Christmas we settled into our daily routine and not a lot happened. Brooke is still doing gymnastics twice a week and trying to do dance, but our dance teacher quit out of the blue and now her assistant is starting to teach dance. Dave and I brought home our new mare after Christmas she is adjusting well and we are excited for spring to start working with her. We also have a steer which is turning out to be a pain he got out the other day so Dave and I were corraling him in the dark. But we got him put back into his corral, we are anxiously awaiting the day he gets butchered. I have started selling Pampered Chef I am excited for something new and hope to do a show for you. So thats my update for now I will update with new pics later.
